Is a Camping Trip Proposal Right for You?

For people who really enjoy the great outdoors, camping can create memories that can last a lifetime. One of the many memories that you can create while engaging in activities on a camping trip with your significant other is a wedding proposal. However, you must determine if a wedding proposal in this manner is appropriate. Here, you will provide some essential steps to take if you plan to propose to your girlfriend while on a camping trip.

If you are planning a wedding proposal, it is important that you do it on a special outdoor adventure. That way, it will be a more memorable experience. For example, your first camping trip together may be the best time to propose. You should make sure that your relationship has developed enough that you are ready to take on this very important commitment.

Once you have made certain that this is the right choice for you, you will want to ensure that you research various campsites. You may want to find one that is designed for couples that have an assortment of cottages with full accommodations – such as shower and toilet facilities. You may not want to propose to your girlfriend at a campground where she has to use a portable toilet or a bush. You want to step up a little bit for this particular outdoor adventure.

When you have decided on the perfect campsite, you should go ahead and make reservations. This will ensure that the cottage that you want is available. If you choose to wait until you arrive to secure your cottage, you may find that there is none empty. This can place a huge damper on your wedding proposal plans. You may also want to make dinner reservations for the special night that you are going to propose at a nearby restaurant. This will help add to the “romantic” atmosphere that you are trying to accomplish.

Prior to going on the camping trip, it is imperative that you purchase the ring. You need to acquire the ring size of your girlfriend to ensure that it fits. Once you have purchased the ring, you may want to place it in a unique place where she would never expect it. For example, you may want to place it in a waterproof box or old type of container and rig it up with a string. While you are your girlfriend are fishing, ask her if she can go back to the cottage to get something that you have placed in an obscure location. Place the item on the end of the fishing pole so that it weighs down. Place it carefully in shallow water and as she starts to come back act as if she caught something and tell her to hurry. When she reels in the line, she will investigate what she caught and find the ring.

If you are planning to propose on your camping trip, you can do it in an assortment of ways. It is important to make sure that you carefully plan your trip to ensure success in your endeavor.
